The University of Saint-Boniface is host once more the works of Peter Farmer. Peter Farmer a former resident of Saint-Boniface has had his work displayed in the beautiful Galerie during the month of October in 2005. His return to the University will be something not to miss.

The Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface is the oldest university in Western Canada. Although it was incorporated in 1871 when the province of Manitoba was born, its origins can be traced back to 1818, when Bishop Norbert Provencher first opened a school for boys in the Red River Colony. In 1877, the Collège de Saint-Boniface, together with Manitoba College and St. John’s College, founded the University of Manitoba. During its first 150 years, the Collège was managed by the Catholic clergy, notably the Jesuit Fathers from 1885 to 1967. It has occupied its present location in the heart of Old Saint-Boniface, in central Winnipeg, since 1922.

An artist works to see while visiting The University of Saint-Boniface is Winnipeg's famous Tony Tascona.
